<p>Chamarajanagar: Stating that she has information that the Chamarajanagar district administration has plans to convert the villages with royal properties into revenue villages, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, member of the erstwhile royal family, has claimed stakes on 5,000 acres of private lands in Chamarajanagar.</p><p>She has written a letter in this regard to the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Tahsildar, Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Land Records department, on March 20, requesting them to provide khata to the private properties belonging to the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysuru, in various parts of the district, in her name, immediately.</p>.'Will continue legal battle': Pramoda Devi Wadiyar hits out at govt on ordinance over Bengaluru Palace land acquisition .<p>She has stated that the private properties should not be converted into revenue villages, and she has written the letter, following information that the district administration is planning to convert the villages with royal properties into revenue villages.</p><p>She has stated to consider her letter as a petition and prevent the registration of the assets in the name of others, or declare them as revenue village. She has urged to prevent any transaction related to the land, until the land is registered in the name of the royal family.</p><p>Deputy Commissioner C T Shilpa Nag said that the letter, dated March 20, was received by her office on March 21. The application is being verified, she said.</p><p>The letter mentions that around 5,119 acres and nine guntas of land in several villages and survey numbers in Chamarajanagar district are private properties of the royal family, as per the agreement signed between the Maharaja of Mysore and the then Union government, on January 23, 1950.</p><p>This includes 4,445 acres and 33 guntas in Atagolipura, 130 acres and three guntas on survey number 125, 124, 134, 135, 133, 463, 169, 184 in Haradanahalli, 63 acres 39 guntas in Boodithittu village, and 23 guntas in Karadihalla village.</p><p>Besides, 190 acres and four guntas in Kannikere village, 199 acres 27 guntas in Ummathuru village, 13 acres in Basavapura village, and Maharaja's 'Janana Mantapa' and park in Chamarajanagar town, are also the royal family's private property, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar has stated in the letter.</p><p>DC Shilpa Nag said, "The letter from Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, member of the erstwhile royal family, has reached the district administration. However, no supporting documents have been submitted, to prove that they are the Maharaja's private property. The Chamarajanagar Tahsildar has been instructed to verify the application and conduct an inquiry".</p>
