<p class="bodytext">Former Member of Parliament K Jayaprakash Hegde has said that he would contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Udupi-Chikmagaluru constituency if the BJP gives him ticket.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He was addressing a press conference during a private programme at Shivapura in Hebri on Saturday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“I am a ticket aspirant and am confident that the party will consider my candidature looking at my capacity. I have been in constant touch with the voters and the party workers from Udupi and Chikkamagaluru,” said Hegde.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking further, the former MP said that election was not the only way to serve the people, but if given ticket, he would contest.</p>
