<p>The Council has launched a drive to clear encroachment of public places by demolition of illegally constructed structures.<br /><br />Several illegally constructed buildings were demolished, as part of encroachment clearance drive by the City Municipal Council in Kolar Gold Fields on Tuesday. <br /><br />The City Municipal Council razed a building which was coming up on 100’x100’ site near community hall at Andersonpet. Heavy earth moving equipment was used to carry out the operation.<br /><br />Later, the unauthorised structures erected beside stalls and two slaughter houses illegally constructed in the market were also evicted. <br /><br />Municipal Commissioner R S Yarrappa, officials - Assistant Executive Engineer Sridhar and Jayaramareddy were present during the operation. <br /></p>
