<p>If the main door of your house has only a central lock, better make it safe with two more locks. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Or else it would be easy for burglars like Krishna to gain entry into your property with ease.<br /><br />Nazarbad police recently arrested Krishna alias Mori Raja son of Perumal, 38, of Lakshmi Nagar, Kirloskar colony in Bangalore. <br /><br />An inter- State burglar, he had thieved at the houses here in Kuvempunagar and Saraswatipuram police limits way back in 2008, and two houses in Nazarbad limits in the recent years.<br /><br /> With his arrest all the four cases are solved and gold valuables weighing 593 grams worth Rs 15 lakh have been recovered from him.<br /><br />Explaining about his modus operandi at a media briefing here on Thursday, Police Commissioner K L Sudheer said, unlike others the only tools Krishna had to sneak into houses was a tiny iron rod and screwdriver. <br /><br />He was piercing the rod between the door and the frame and opening the door from the lower end, with the help of screwdriver by hitting hit against the door. He was also particular in selecting the houses with central lock only, as according to him opening a door with multiple locks was risky, the commissioner said.<br /><br />The commissioner appealed to the people to ensure safety of their houses with padlocks, and it would be better if the doors made of iron grills are also installed as an enhanced measure. <br /><br />Apart from Mysore, Krishna had similar cases to his credit in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, and Mahalakshmi Layout and Sanjay Nagar police limits in Bangalore. He had been convicted in all the cases and was out of the jail recently after completing the sentence.<br /><br />The police team was led by inspector G N Mohan, sub-inspector Madhu comprising others. The police commissioner has also announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for the investigators.<br /><br />DCP (Law and order) Basavaraj Malagathi, ACP (Devaraja sub-division) Cheluvaraju and other officers were also present.<br /></p>
