Karnataka BJP to organise state-wide 'Tiranga Yatra' to hail armed forces for Operation Sindoor's success

'The Tiranga yatra is not confined to the party. Besides BJP workers, former servicemen, farmers, people from all sections of society and women will participate in it, the BJP party chief said.

Shivamogga: State BJP President B Y Vijayendra stated that the BJP will launch Tiranga Yatra in Bengaluru on May 14 and it will be held across the state in the wake of the success of Operation Sindoor against Pakistani terrorists.

Addressing media persons, here on Tuesday, he said, "The Tiranga Yatra is not confined to the party. Besides, BJP workers, ex-servicemen, farmers, people from all sections of society and women will participate in it."

The Tiranga Yatra is being organised in Mangaluru on May 15 and then at all district headquarters and booth levels in the state. Thousands of people will participate in the procession to be held as part of the yatra, holding the national flag, Vijayendra added.

Replying to a query, he said, India agreed to a ceasefire as a result of Pakistan contacting America and requesting it to stop the war. This is part of the country's politics and not due to America's pressure tactics.

Referring to Congress leaders remarks, he said, some Congress leaders, including Minister Priyank Kharge, have started talking lightly that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surrendered to America by accepting the ceasefire. But in reality, it is not right. In fact, the ceasefire that has been declared now is not permanent. In future, any terrorist attack on the country will have to be considered as a war on India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the message to the world that water and blood cannot flow together.

He said that if Pakistan has to exist, no support should be given to terrorist organizations. There is no room for unnecessary politics in this matter. At such a time, everyone should respect the decisions of the Indian Army and the Central Government, regardless of party affiliation, he said.

District BJP Unit President NK Jagadish, MLA SN Channabasappa, MLC Dhananjaya Sarji, former MLC S Rudre Gouda, BJP district spokesperson KV Annappa and others were present at the press conference.
