Similarly, Kodavas are known for their unique culture and tradition and have been demanding Kodava land. <br /><br />“We would not relent till the Centre granted Kodava homeland status to the Kodava people in the district by bringing all the 45 erstwhile ‘naadu’ (a group of villages) under one umbrella. Kodavas can not fight for their rights through muscle power or in the election. Hence, CNC is following peaceful method,” he added. <br /><br />CNC has been agitating peacefully. Several attempts have been made to bring down our agitation, he added. <br /><br />Kodava language should be included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. Kodavas should be considered as lingustic minority and reservation should be provided. <br /><br />He called upon the Kodavas to join hands in protecting Kodava Patta, Ainmane, Devanele. <br />“The government should provide constitutional security to the Kodavas.
