<p>Nanjangud (Mysuru dist): A leopard, caught in a snare, laid to poach wild boar, succumbed to the injuries at Rampura village, Nanjangud taluk, Mysuru district, on Saturday.</p><p>A four-year-old leopardess was caught in a snare that was laid to poach a wild animal, on a farmland belonging to Mahesh of Yedehalli on Friday night. </p>.Death cases due to drowning increase at high-risk tourist spots in Mandya district.<p>The farmers, who noticed this, alerted the Forest department personnel on Saturday morning.</p><p>The department personnel rushed to the spot, tranquilised the animal and shifted it to a hospital in Nanjangud. Veterinarian Dr Mujeeb provided treatment, but it succumbed. The department has registered a case under Wildlife Protection Act.</p>
