Vikala Vikaasa, an organisation for the differently abled, is organising 209th birth anniversary of Louis Braille, inventor of braille in the city on Thursday.
L Subramani, journalist, Deccan Herald will be felicitated with Vikala Vikaasa Louis Braille award, at Mysore District Journalist Association (MDJA), on the occasion.
University of Mysore in-charge Vice Chancellor C Basavaraju will inaugurate the event and Leslie Moraes, Episcopal Vicar for Education and Medical Ministries PRO, will present the award.
MDJA president C K Mahendra will preside over. Journalist T R Sathish Kumar will be the chief guest.
