Made, Ede Snana banned at Udupi temple

Paryaya Palimaru mutt seer Sri Vidhyadheesha Theertha Swami has taken a decision on banning the practice of both ‘Made Snana’ (devotees rolling over soiled plantain leaves) and ‘Ede Snana (rolling over plantain leaves with prasadam) on the temple premises.

“I have taken a firm decision under the guidance of veteran Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji,” the seer told media persons on the occasion of Shashthi celebrations at Subramanya temple inside Krishna Mutt. Both Made and Ede Snana rituals are creating needless confusion among devotees. The devotees are not in favour of both these rituals, he added.
