Mangalore Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (MOGS) and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, A J Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, hosted a postgraduate inter-collegiate quiz recently.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vatsala Kamath, MOGS president, said that MOGS had been at the forefront of delivering exemplary healthcare to women in Dakshina Kannada district.
As part of its public health awareness campaign, MOGS had uploaded short Kannada videos educating women on pregnancy care, dangers of increased blood pressure during pregnancy and family planning-- all on the MOGS website.
MOGS had also uploaded short videos on cancer among women (which can be detected early by testing). These videos are accessible to all on the MOGS website www.mangaloreobg.com
Six teams from various medical colleges of the district participated in the inter-collegiate quiz. Yenepoya Medical College team comprising Dr Arshia and Dr Shweta came first in the quiz. Dr. Jeevanthy and Dr Neha from KSHEMA came second in the quiz.
