<p>Hubballi: Karnataka bandh call given by pro-Kannada organisations received lukewarm response in Hubballi on Saturday, with day-to-day activities remaining unaffected.</p><p>Several organisations in the city, including that of autorickshaw drivers, had earlier clarified that they would not support the bandh call.</p><p>Commercial establishments were engaged in usual business, while the movement of buses and other vehicles was normal.</p>.Poor response to Karnataka bandh in Belagavi during early hours.<p>Symbolically, members of Karnataka Sangrama Sene and Karunada Vijayasene staged a protest at Chennamma Circle. They raised slogans against MES and burnt an effigy. They also urged the government to protect the interests of Kannadigas especially in Belagavi district.</p><p>Meanwhile, North Karnataka Autorickshaw Drivers' and Owners' Association gave roses to shop-keepers asking them not to close shops. "It is examination season and children's future is important. Those who gave bandh call did not take all organisations into confidence," said the association president Shekharayya Mathapati.</p>
