Pahalgam terror attack: Ambika Institution announces free education to victims' children

Mangaluru: The Ambika Group of institutions in Puttur has announced to offer free education to the children of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Kashmir.

The Nattoja Foundation Trust which runs Ambika Vidyalaya (CBSE), two separate Ambika Pre-University Colleges (for day scholars and residential students), and Ambika Degree College will offer free education in any class—from LKG up to the degree level. In addition, food and accommodation will also be provided free of cost, said Trust President Subrahmanya Nattoja.

The Nattoja Foundation Trust is empathetic toward national causes and those who suffer, had previously declared free education for children of displaced Kashmiri Pandits following atrocities committed against them. As a result, two students from Kashmir had enrolled at Ambika Pre-University College in Puttur, he said.

He said it is the moral responsibility of every citizen to stand by the victims.

Furthermore, the Ambika institutions have been offering subsidised education for years to the children of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation’s safety.

Recently, student organisations from Ambika held a protest against the terrorist attack in Kashmir and submitted a letter of demand to the Home Minister through the Assistant Commissioner of Puttur, urging for the complete eradication of terrorism.
