The members of the Legislative Council have sought the state government that an external agency be tasked with investigation into the lapses in granting permission for new PU colleges.
During a meeting with the minister for primary and secondary education minister Sa Ra Mahesh here on Saturday, MLC Arun Shahpur said that instead of conducting a departmental probe into the lapses, the government should order investigation by an external agency.
Issues pertaining to the transfer of teachers was discussed in the meeting. It was sought that the five-year posting for PU lecturers should be reduced to three years.
