<p> The government-owned Hatti Gold Mines on February 6 created a record by lifting 2,378 tonnes of gold ore from its mines. <br /><br /></p>.<p>In-charge General Manager (Co-ordination) of the Hatti Gold Mines, Basavaraj Doddamani disclosed this at a press conference here.<br />He said the company had broken its previous record of 2009, when it had lifted 2,302 tonnes of gold ore on July 27. <br /><br />The general manager informed that the new circular shaft which was being constructed on the premises of the mines was beneficial to the company. <br />Under the current system, only 30 persons could be shifted to the mines at a time, which consumed a lot of time. <br /><br />With the construction of the circular shaft as many as 100 workers could be shifted swiftly at once, thereby saving a lot of time, he said.<br /></p>
