<p>Madikeri: Karnataka Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Nomadic Development Corporation Chairperson G Pallavi expressed her displeasure over non-receipt of applications towards micro credit scheme introduced by the corporation.</p><p>Chairing a review meeting in Madikeri on Friday, the chairperson noted that around Rs 2.60 crore funds have remained unutilised under various schemes of the corporation. Non-receipt of applications hints at lack of awareness. It is the duty of the officials to provide information about the schemes among the beneficiaries, she said and noted that not even a single application has been received towards the micro credit scheme.</p><p>Speaking to the reporters later, the Chairperson said that among the districts she has visited, Kodagu has the highest number of nomadic people. However, non submission of application indicates lack of information, she said. She further stated that she has directed the officials to go out of their chambers and visit the tribal hamlets and educate people on the facilities meant for them.</p><p>G Pallavi lamented that there are significant number of cases of child marriage among the nomadic people. Due to non-institution deliveries, the children are deprived of birth certificates and other documents.</p><p>However, 1,237 children in the district have been admitted to various residential schools and ashram schools in the district by the officials, she added.</p>
