Seven killed in collision

As many as seven persons were killed in head-on collision between a tanker and multiutility vehicle near Kumbarahalli Gate in Chittapur taluk on Tuesday.

 The deceased, Nagu Anwar, Pramod Sungalkar, Kasheenath Thalak, Yellappa Poojary, Dugappa, Shivu Hulinayaka and Raju Nakkal, were returning to Yadgir after taking part in a programme at Shahabad, Chittapur taluk.

The accident occurred after the tanker proceeding towards Wadi rammed a Bolero coming from the opposite direction. The dead include the driver of the MUV. Wadi police have registerd a case.
