‘Samooha’, a cultural ensemble, will celebrate its 18th edition of ‘Spring Fest’ at Ravindra Mantapa, MGM College in Udupi on March 24.

The event will be inaugurated by Prof Varadesh Hiregange, Coordinator of RRC, Udupi. Dr Vijay, principal of MGM College-Udupi will be the chief guest.

Research Scholar Dr Prabhakar Joshi will deliver a keynote on ‘Possibilities of Research in Samooha as a concept’. Three books written by Prof Udyavara Madhava Acharya will also be released on the occasion.

Srisannidhi will enact a short story ‘Seelu Bidirina Sillu’, written by Prof Udyavara Madhava Acharya.

Bhramari Shivaprakash will stage a solo dance drama ‘Kodandada Kone’ depicting the end of Ramavatara and how these days represent a cultural transformation.

As the main attraction, noted Bharatanatyam artiste Vasundhara Doraswamy will perform a solo dance drama ‘Kshaatra Draupadi’ depicting the life of Draupadi and her fighting spirit. Based on Kumaravyasa Bharata, the stage script is written by Dr Jyoti Shankar.
