<p>MLA C T Ravi has directed officials to submit a detailed project report on the works to be taken up under Vision 2023, by August 25.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking at a meeting on Vision 2023 organised at taluk panchayat hall on Saturday, he said, “There is a need to prepare a plan for the development of lakes in the taluk. Retaining walls should be constructed on the river basin. A comprehensive report should be prepared after a detailed discussion.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said the PWD officials should prepare a DPR on a ring road covering Siragunda, Aladagudde, Karthikere, Mathavara, Indavara, Uppalli, Allampura-to connect Kadur Road.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The rain has damaged the roads in the taluk. There is a need to take up road repair works, he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He urged the Urban Development Authority to check unauthorised layouts in the town.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MLA directed the district surgeon to prepare a list of basic facilities required for the upgrading of Chikkamagaluru district hospital.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said eco-friendly industries should be set up in Sakharayapattana, and Lakya. Truck terminal should be set up on the outskirts of the town. A proposal on the same should be prepared by the joint director of the Industries Department.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He urged bank officials not to deny loans under the Mudra scheme. He added that a ‘loan mela’ should be organised by bank officials. Under Mudra scheme, Rs 168 crore loan has been disbursed among 14,782 beneficiaries in the district.</p>.<p class="bodytext">DDPI Prasanna Kumar said that 38 government schools in the district have registered zero per cent results in the last four years.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MLA asked the DDPI to make a list of basic facilities required for government schools.</p>
