Take action against church attackers: Guv

Baffled by the “onslaught” of communal discord in the State the Governor said that a message of peace and harmony needs to be sent to the entire State. He added that Karnataka police were perhaps a better lot in the country as they were “apolitical.”
He was speaking at the National Disaster Reduction Rally here on Friday.

DG&IGP, Home Guards, Fire and Emergency Services, Jija Madhavan Harisingh,  speaking about strengthening the civil defence in the State, said, “We expect to raise 5,600 civil defence wardens over the next few years.”
