Teach values to students, says MU vice chancellor

Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof P S Yadapadithaya recently inaugurated the classrooms constructed at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College, by the Coorg Foundation of Kodagu Tata Coffee Seva Samsthe.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that if all of us take up pro-society work, then it will benefit many. Teachers and donors should work towards the welfare of the youth, thereby help in nation-building.

Teachers have a role in teaching values to the students. There is a need to implement discipline and commitment in life, said the vice chancellor.

Principal Dr Chowreera Jagat Thimmaiah said the classrooms constructed by the Foundation will benefit the student community.

The college has been offering courses at a minimum fee, he added.

Syndicate member Dr Parvathi Appayya and Coorg Foundation trustee Ganga Chengappa also spoke.
