Teams have been constituted to strengthen surveillance in border check posts, following a rise in Covid-19 cases in Kerala.

All those who enter Kodagu from Kerala should arrive through Kutta, Makutta, Karike and Sampaje main roads.

The district administration has made it mandatory for anyone arriving from Kerala to get a negative RT-PCR test report not older than 72 hours of arrival. The teams will verify the report at the check posts.

The district administration has directed students residing in hostels not to frequently visit Kerala.

If people from Kerala visit bars and restaurants, star hotels in border areas, then the owners should mandatorily confirm their negative RT-PCR test report.

Deputy Commissioner Charulata Somal visited Kutta-Tholpatti check posts on the Kodagu-Kerala border and verified the measures taken to control the spread of Covid-19.
