<p>Shivamogga: Two people died on spot and over 13 passengers sustained injuries when a private bus rammed into the rear end of a lorry parked on the road near Gajanur, around 12 km from Shivamogga city, in the wee hours of Wednesday.</p><p>The deceased have been identified as Annappa (38), the bus conductor and a resident of Hosanagar, and Harshit (25), a passenger and a native of Challakere. The bus was heading towards Shivamogga from Mangaluru.</p><p>The accident occurred when the driver of the bus steered the vehicle to the left side to avoid collision with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The bus rear-ended the stationary lorry, which had no reflector.</p><p>The condition of three passengers is said to be critical and they were shifted to a hospital in Manipal while the remaining 13 passengers, who sustained minor injuries, were admitted to various hospitals, including the district general hospital in Shivamogga.</p><p>Traffic on the Shivamogga-Thirthahalli road was disrupted for a few hours due to the accident. The Tunga Nagar police visited the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital.</p>
