Union minister to connect with people through app

In order to connect with the people of his constituency, Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde has turned to technology.

One can freely download the mobile application, ANANT, from the Google Play Store and send grievances to the minister.

“It is tough for the public to meet the elected representatives and the elected representatives also find it difficult to interact with the people of their constituencies directly. Hence I decided to seek the help of technology. Though Janata Darshans are held regularly in my office, it is still difficult to connect with everyone. Thanks to technology for reducing the distance. The public can now air their grievances along with documents directly through the app,” the minister said. Suresh Shetty, the minister’s personal assistant said, “The minister will personally go through the messages and instruct the authorities concerned to look into the matter.
