Unmindful of the surroundings and the chattering of people surrounding them, and cash transactions with shop owners, food lovers are getting attracted to this place in thousands.
Be it rotti, dosa, chats, pappads, fruit juice or cut fruits, donne biryani, pulav, sea food or simple snacks, people are thronging the stalls with great gusto.

On Thursday, the event was sponsored by Sindhi Association Ladies Chapter, with soul-filling bhajans and ‘lok geet’ by artistes who were flown in for the purpose. The narrative was translated into Kannada and explained to the audience by one of its members.

The crowd swayed to the music and also savoured pani puri, masala puri, samosas, gulab jamuns, roomali rotis, butter paneer, few indigenous Sindhi preparations in both sweet and spicy dishes. While the food kept the tasting faculty occupied, the music captured the extra sensory powers and kept them firmly under its control. Early in the evening, those who entered the main gate took their pick from dosa, puffed rice, salads, juice and pappads and moved towards stalls adjoining the stage which served Sindhi fare.

As the evening progressed, those in charge of clearing garbage did an excellent job of emptying the bins periodically. However, some who lacked basic civic sense, continued to throw plates on the ground unmindful of the surroundings.
