Woman alleges Mangaluru City Corporation officer harassed her at work

A woman staff, serving in Mangaluru City Corporation’s water supply section, has accused her senior officer of harassing her.

The woman, an outsourced staff, has filed a complaint with the Department of Women and Child Development in this regard.

In her complaint, the woman had alleged that she was forced to work more than the regular working hours.

Women and Child Development department Deputy Director Papabovi said that the complaint refers to work pressure. The complaint was forwarded to the administrative section of the MCC for redressal.

When contacted, MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar said that he will have to go through the complaint. Any wrongdoing will be strictly dealt with as per the law, he said.
