Former Kerala Minister and Congress leader K Babu may have to face trial in a case about amassing illegal wealth to the tune of Rs 28 lakh.
A vigilance special court on Wednesday rejected a discharge petition of Babu.
The state Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau had chargesheeted Babu for amassing illegal wealth during 2007-2016 period.
Babu, who served as excise minister, had faced allegations of taking huge bribes from bar owners for framing Kerala's liquor policy in favour of bar hotels.
