<p>Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar's directive to the universities in the state to observe August 14 as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day received lukewarm response from the colleges.</p><p>While RSS student outfit <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/abvp">ABVP</a> organised the remembrance at a few campuses, which even led to tension, majority of the campuses did not organise any function.</p><p>Countering the Governor's directive by exercising his powers as chancellor, state higher education minister R Bindu, in her power as pro-chancellor had directed the universities not to organise Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
