<p>Thiruvananthapuram: The monsoon has once again gained strength across Kerala with most districts receiving heavy rains over the past two days. Three rain related deaths were also reported on Sunday.</p><p>The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a red alert in five districts in north Kerala on Sunday and Monday. </p><p>Orange alerts were sounded in all other districts. Red alert was sounded in Kasargod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram.</p> .<p>The disaster management authorities have also sounded alert against the chances of rivers breaching the banks. People living in calamity prone areas were advised to shift to safer places.</p><p>Rain related deaths were reported from Pathanamthitta, Kannur and Kottayam district. </p><p>While two persons died after drowning at Konni on Pathanamthitta and Azhikode in Kannur, a two-wheeler rider died after a tree uprooted and fell over him at Cheruvally in Kottayam.</p>
