<p>Thiruvananthapuram: The 'vote chori' allegations are gaining more steam in Kerala with the Congress and Left parties coming out with more claim of illegal voter enrollment across the state, whereas the BJP is trying to counter by citing duplicate entries of Congress leaders and families.</p><p>Amidst the row over illegal voters at Thrissur Lok Sabha seat, which even led to CPI(M)-BJP clashes, Union minister of state for petroleum and Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi, who came down to Thrissur on Wednesday, preferred to be tight-lipped. "Thanks to the help done so far," Gopi replied to repeated queries by journalists.</p><p>BJP leaders, including party state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, strongly backed Gopi by stating that the Congress and Left-parties were trying to unleash a baseless campaign owing to their unrest over BJP's victory at Thrissur.</p>.Go to Election Commission or courts: Rajeev Chandrasekhar on allegations regarding Suresh Gopi's 2024 LS win.<p>Meanwhile, the BJP camps were also busy finding suspicious enrollments of Congress leaders in the voters list.</p><p>While Union minister Anurag Thakur raised allegations regarding doubtful voters at Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency to target Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, BJP leaders in Kerala pointed out entry of Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala and family members at two wards in Aappuzha district in the voters' list for the upcoming local body polls. </p><p>Chennithala not only countered it by stating that as soon as the double entry came to his notice he gave request to rectify it, but also came out with a detailed list of illegal voter enrollment across the state, including 29,649 duplicate votes in Thrissur Lok Sabha seat.</p>.Residents name locality after IPS officer for curbing anti-socials in Kerala's Thrissur.<p>Chennithala also attacked the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala by alleging that there were massive irregularities in voter enrollment ahead of the 2021 Assembly election in Kerala in which the Left parties came to power for the second consecutive time. </p><p>"Then itself the Congress-led United Democratic Front had given complaint to the election commission citing 4.34 lakh illegal or doubtful entries. But the actual numbers were much higher. But no actions came," the Congress working committee member said.</p><p>CPI leader V S Sunilkumar and Congress leader K Muraleedharan, who were defeated by Gopi at Thrissur, also reiterated that they would be coming out with more details of the illegal voter enrollment made by BJP-RSS. </p><p>Sunilkumar, who called on chief electoral officer Rathan U Khelkar, also alleged that the illegal enrollments were made with the connivance of the Election Commission.</p><p>BJP leaders also alleged widespread irregularities in the voters list for the local body election in Thiruvananthapuram.</p>
