<p>New Delhi: Terming that Maha Kumbh awakened the consciousness of the nation, Prime Minister <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/narendra-modi">Narendra Modi</a> on Thursday said that this is the dawn of a new era, which will script the future of a new India.</p><p>"The Maha Kumbh has concluded. The 'mahayajna' of unity has concluded," PM Modi wrote in a blog, a day after the 45-day religious exercise concluded, and said the country has to now march together with a similar spirit of self-confidence and unity to fulfil the goal of 'Viksit Bharat'.</p><p>"If scholars of spirituality analyse the enthusiastic participation of crores of Indians, they will find that India, proud of its heritage, is now surging ahead with a new-found energy. I believe this is the dawn of a new era, which will script the future of a new India,” he said.</p><p>Modi said the holding of Maha Kumbh has become a study subject for management professionals, and planning and policy experts as there is no other example of such a gigantic event in the world.</p><p>"When the consciousness of a nation awakens, when it breaks all the shackles of hundreds of years of slavery to breathe with a new consciousness, then such a sight presents itself that we witnessed in the Maha Kumbh of unity in Prayagraj after January 13," he said.</p>.UP CM praises PM Modi, hails collective efforts made for smooth conduct of Maha Kumbh Mela.<p>Modi said the tradition of Maha Kumbh has been reinvigorating India's national consciousness for thousands of years, suggesting new ways to the country and society.</p><p>The Prime Minister said it was a very pleasant experience for him to see young devotees attending the holy congregation in large numbers.</p><p>"This boosts the faith that India's young generation is the carrier of our values and culture and understand its responsibility in taking it forward. They are committed to it," he said.</p><p>Taking dig at the past Congress governments, he said if this collective strength had been recognised and harnessed towards boosting the welfare of all post-Independence, it would have become a great force for a newly independent nation.</p><p>"Unfortunately, it was not done earlier. But now, I am glad to witness the way in which this collective strength of the people is coming together for a developed India," the PM said.</p>
