Might of Indian military felt in Rawalpindi: Rajnath Singh on Operation Sindoor

He said the Indian military has punished anti-India forces and terrorists who had wiped off the vermilion of many families through the Pahalgam terror attack.

Lucknow: Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that Operation Sindoor was the symbol of India’s ‘strong will power’ and ’military might’ and that the power of India’s military was felt up to Rawalpindi in Pakistan.

Speaking after inaugurating the BrahMos Integration & Testing Facility Centre in Lucknow in virtual mode, Singh said that India did not target civilians during this Operation. ‘’This Operation was against terrorism... we did not target any civilians...Pakistan targeted the civilians... it also targeted temples and gurudwaras... India will continue its action against terrorism,’’ he said.

‘’Surgical strikes after Uri and Pulwama and now Operation Sindoor after Pahalgam have shown the world that we are adopting a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism,’’ the minister added.

He said that India had made it clear through this operation that lands across the borders would not be safe if the country acted against terrorism.

‘’The might of the Indian military was felt up to Rawalpindi where the Headquarter of the Pakistani Army is situated,’’ he said.

‘’BrahMos is one of the fastest supersonic missiles in the world...the world does not respect the weak...it respects the strong and India is one of the most powerful countries in the world,’’ Singh remarked.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that terrorism was like the ‘tail of the dog which can never be straightened’. ‘’Those who do not understand the language of love must be made to understand in their language,’’ he said.
