<p>Rohit Shekhar, the son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, was brought dead at a hospital in the national capital on Tuesday. </p>.<p>Shekhar, who stays in south Delhi's Defence Colony, had won a paternity suit against N D Tiwari, who had initially refused to accept him as his son.</p>.<p>Police said he was taken to Max Hospital in south Delhi where doctors declared him brought dead.</p>.<p>In 2014, after lawsuits and a DNA test, Tiwari finally accepted that Rohit was his son. </p>.<p>During the Uttarakhand Assembly polls in 2017, Rohit had joined the BJP in the presence of BJP chief Amit Shah and his father.</p>.<p>Rohit had in 2008 filed a paternity suit claiming that Tiwari is his biological father following which the court had ordered DNA mapping of Tiwari, which was finally done in 2012.</p>.<p>Delhi High Court had later rejected Tiwari's plea to keep the result secret and the results were released which established the senior leader as Rohit's biological father.</p>
