<p>New Delhi: Nitin Nabin took formal charge of his role as the party president on Tuesday, in a ceremony that saw the attendance of PM Modi, union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah and outgoing president JP Nadda, among others. During the ceremony, Presiding officer K Laxman gave Nabin the certificate of election. In his welcome address, PM Modi said that Nabin is now his boss. “Within the party, he is now my boss,” Modi said. </p> <p>“The idea is that Modi is prime minister, and has been so for the third time in a row. But for me, a matter of pride is that I am a BJP karyakarta, and Nitin Nabin is my boss. He is the president for all of us, and his responsibility will be to manage the BJP and coordinate with the NDA,” Modi said in his speech. Infiltrators are the biggest threat to the country and they should be sent back. Political parties that are trying to protect infiltrators must be exposed,” he said.</p> <p>In a bid to reach out to the younger generation, Modi said that Nabin is a millennial. “To put it in the language of today’s youth, Nitin ji himself is, in a way, a millennial. He belongs to the generation that received information from the radio in their childhood and is now an active user of AI,” Modi said. </p> <p>Modi also praised Nabin in his speech. “Whoever has come in contact with Nitin Nabin ji discusses his simplicity. Be it his responsibility as a prabhari or his experience of working with the Bihar government, Nitin Nabin has proved himself in whatever responsibility he was given,” he added.</p> <p>Modi also touched upon the upcoming assembly elections. “In the next few months elections will be held in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry and West Bengal. There is a lot of discussion on the demography in these states – how and altered demography has presented challenges for us. But we are fully confident that BJP workers will help us win in all the five states,” he said.</p>
