Odisha train derailment updates: Restoration work to continue throughout the night, says NDRF
PM Modi visited Balasore to review the accident situation after chairing a high-level meeting regarding the Odisha train crash. The Prime Minister also visited a hospital in Balasore to visit those injured. World leaders including heads of states from Turkey, Canada, Pakistan, Japan have condoled the Odisha train accident deaths. Railway spokesperson Amitabh Sharma has said that rescue operations have completed, restoration work is set to continue through the night. A high-level inquiry has been ordered into the tragedy that has so far killed at least 288 passengers and injured over 1091. Track DH for live updates.
