Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on September 25 said that PM Modi has fulfilled what Deendayal Upadhyaya envisioned for underprivileged.
After paying floral tributes to the freedom fighter, Thakur said, “Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled what Pandit Deendayal ji had envisioned for underprivileged. PM had said on the very first day that my government would work for the backward and the underprivileged.”
“In the last 8 years, the work that has been done for the upliftment of the poor. Whether from cooking gas cylinders, from bank accounts, from water facilities to providing electricity. We came to power with an aim to serve,” he added.
