Leading mountaineering organisation, Giripremi, has organised 10-day mountain festival on the occasion of International Mountain Day.
It will kick-start with the "Mountain Film Festival", which would be inaugurated at the Abasaheb Garware College auditorium in Pune.
Films of the first-ever successful expedition onKargill-based Mount Kun(7,135 meters), the journey to the world's eighth highest peak Mount Manaslu (8,156 meters) and the beauty of Lahaul Spiti Valley-based Mount CB 13 (6,264 meters) will be screened during the festival.
In addition, a film on environmental impact near the mountain regions will also be screened at the festival. The festival is a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to witness the exhilarating beauty of the Himalayas.
