<p>Security around the country’s airports has been stepped up after intelligence agencies warned of a possible hijack attempt.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“Security around all the airports have been strengthened, and we have taken all the measures required,” said official sources in New Delhi on Sunday. <br /><br />However, in Bengaluru, police said no such alert was sent to them, but security at the international airport had been tightened for the last few weeks.<br /><br /> “There is no alert as such to the Bengaluru City Police. However, there has been heightened security at Kempegowda International Airport for the past few weeks,” DCP (North-East) Vikash Kumar Vikash told Deccan Herald.</p>
