<p>Chennai: At least 14 flights scheduled for various destinations in the Middle East from Chennai and Tiruchirapalli airports and vice-versa were cancelled on Tuesday due to escalation of conflict between Israel and Iran.</p><p>Three Qatar Airlines flights to Doha from various cities in Thailand were diverted to the Chennai Airport as a precautionary measure. While six flights from Chennai to Doha, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Dubai were cancelled, five flights to Chennai from various destinations in the region were cancelled. </p>.Middle East-bound flights resume from Thiruvananthapuram.<p>The cancelled flights belonged to Qatar Airways, Air India Express, and Indigo. </p><p>Three flights to Sharjah, and Doha from Tiruchirapalli were also cancelled due to closure of airspace in certain regions in the Middle East, sources said. </p>
