<p>Chennai: Imposition of Hindi in the garb of a three-language policy, withholding funds under Samagra Shiksha (SS) scheme, issues related to federalism, the delay in restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and the exclusion of lakhs of people from voters’ list in Bihar are some of the issues that the DMK will raise in the Monsoon Session of Parliament. </p><p>The decision comes a day before leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance is set to meet virtually for the first time since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. </p>.I.N.D.I.A. bloc leaders to meet for the first time since 2024 Lok Sabha polls .<p>The meeting of DMK MPs chaired by party president M K Stalin here on Friday decided to put the BJP on the mat over a slew of issues relating to Tamil Nadu and the country. </p><p>The DMK MPs will also demand 50 per cent share in tax devolution for states, release of funds under SS scheme – which has been withheld for Tamil Nadu for not implementing the three language policy – and the constant increase in the share of states in schemes jointly implemented by the Central and state governments.</p><p>The meeting also resolved to condemn the delay in restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and exclusion of voters in Bihar by the Election Commission of India (ECI).</p>.Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi write to PM demanding bill to restore statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.<p> “The meeting also decided to raise the issue of fishermen from Tamil Nadu being attacked by Sri Lankan Navy, bring back Education to State list of Constitution, declaring Thirukkural as National Book, and oppose imposition of Hindi and Sanskrit by ignoring mother tongues like Tamil,” a resolution passed at the meeting said. </p><p>The MPs will also demand English names for centrally sponsored schemes, and protest the recent rail fare hikes.</p>
