<p>The horror of rapes, molestation and eve teasing haunted different parts of the state with one of the victims of sexual assault being a two-year-old girl and four others aged below 10 years.<br /><br /></p>.<p>In Raiganj in West Bengal, a two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old youth at Minapara village in North Dinajpur district, police said on Sunday. The youth has been arrested and sent to 14-day judicial custody.<br /><br />An FIR lodged by the victim’s father said that the baby was raped when her mother went to wash clothes in a pond leaving her sleeping on the side of the pond on Saturday.<br /><br />Four minor girls, aged between five and ten, have been raped by a 40-year-old man in West Bengal’s Bankura district, police said on Sunday.<br /><br />The incident occurred at Rathtala area in Belatore on January 3 and the accused, identified as Rabi Lochan Dey, a grocery shop owner, was arrested last night, Superintendent of Police, Bankura, Mukesh Kumar said.<br /><br />An FIR lodged with the police said the girls, aged 5, 7, 8 and 10, had gone to the grocery shop at around 3 pm to purchase a cake. On the pretext of giving them cake, Dey called the girls to another room and committed the crime, the report said.<br /><br />The matter came to light when one of the girls passed blood with her urine, police said, adding that the report of a medical test conducted on the girls at the local hospital was awaited.<br /><br />Meanwhile, in Maharashtra’s Akola district, an eve-teaser was allegedly beaten up by a 20-year-old girl when he tried to harass her while she was returning home at Patun tehsil in the district, police said. <br /></p>
