<p>New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament will begin on January 28 and end on April 2.</p><p>As per practice, the session will start with the President Droupadi Murmu's address to the joint sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs on January 28. </p><p>"On the recommendation of the Government of India, President of India Droupadi Murmu-ji has approved the summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2026. The Session will commence on January 28 and continue till April 2," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on 'X'.</p><p>The first phase of the session will be between January 28 and February 13 and the Parliament will reassemble on March 9 and run till April 2. During the recess, the Parliamentary Standing Committee will examine the Demands for Grants for various ministries.</p><p>Rijiju's tweet did not provide dates for tabling Economic Survey and presentation of Budget. Usually, the Budget is presented on February 1 and this time, it falls on a Sunday.</p>
