<p>Lucknow: Several centres of the well known IIT coaching centre FIITJEE have closed across Uttar Pradesh after a large number of teachers resigned following non-payment of their salary.</p><p>According to the reports, FIITJEE centres in Meerut, Varanasi, Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Noida have closed, triggering panic among the engineering aspirants and their parents. At some places the parents also held demonstrations before the FIITJEE centres to register their protest.</p><p>One of the parents said in Meerut that he had deposited the entire fee in advance and that the future of his child could suffer following the abrupt closure of the FIITJEE centre. Despite assurances, the management did not pay the salary nor paid the rent of the building from which the centre runs,’’ said an employee of the FIITJEE Meerut centre.</p><p>Reports said that more than 750 students were registered at the Meerut centre.</p><p>Reports of closure of FIITJEE centres were also received from Varanasi, Lucknow, Noida and Ghaziabad and other parts of the country, including Delhi.</p> .<p>An education department official said in Ghaziabad that the FIITJEE centre in the town was not registered which was in violation of the UP Coaching Regulation Act 2002. The officials have lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.</p><p>Reports said that an FIR was lodged against FIITJEE chairperson Dinesh Goyal, chief operating officer Manish Anand and two others.</p><p>FIITJEE was established in 1992 by Dinesh Goyal, an IIT pass out, for preparing the students of 6th to 12th standard for the IIT entrance examination in particular. </p>
