Clean sweep for TMC in West Bengal, say exit polls

As the much-awaited exit polls have started bombarding their results on the TV screens, the majority of the exit polls predict that the Trinamool Congress will yet again hold sway in the state.

In the Mamata Banerjee dominated state, the Times Now-VMR says that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will win 28 seats, the NDA will be on the second position with 11 seats, the UPA will have 2 seats, and the Other parties will be on the least position with 1 seat.

The vote share is expected to be (Times Now-VMR) -
AITC - 39.1 per cent
Congress - 8.8 per cent
BJP - 31.86 per cent
LF - 15.9 per cent
Other parties - 4.34 per cent

According to the Jan Ki Baat exit polls, the TMC will have the majority vote share with 29 seats, the NDA will be trailing behind with 11, the UPA will win 2 seats, and the other parties will be left with no seats.

On the other hand, the CVoter exit polls predict that NDA will win in the state with a 19-26 margin of seats. the TMS will win between 21-13 seat margin, the UPA will win 3 seats, and the Other parties will win no seats

The current Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, reacted to the exit polls tweeting that she doesn't trust exit poll gossip.

India Today-Axis My India has predicted that the BJP will win the maximum number of seats with a margin of 19-23, the TMC will follow the BJP with 19-22 seat margin, and Congress will win 0-1 seats from the state.

"I don’t trust exit poll gossip. The gameplan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together" tweeted Mamata Banerjee.

West Bengal has a total of 42 seats in Lok Sabha. With the seventh phase coming to an end today, polling was held for the 9 seats in West Bengal. In 2014, Trinamool Congress bagged 34 seats out of 42 in the state.
