Star-studded music launch

The music album of Veer was unveiled recently, in the midst of veterans of music and the media. The soundtrack of the film is done by musical duo Sajid-Wajid and lyrics are written by Oscar-winner Gulzar. The two have come together for the first time.

Reveals a source, “None of the songs had electronic audio sound recording — 50 musicians across India came together for a live orchestral recording of the film. These musicians perform live shows across the country and were hard to source. But the musical team refused to compromise.”

The songs of the film were showcased at the music launch.

Stalwart singers like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Roopkumar Rathore, ace lyricist Gulzar, music director duo Sajid Wajid, director Anil Sharma, producer Vijay Galani and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan unveiled the album of the film.

Adds the source, “Normally an electronic sound recording is quicker and takes three days to the maximum.”

“However, the songs of Veer took an easy 12 days as they involved major co-ordination and were recorded live.”Wajid of the musical duo Sajid-Wajid said, “The music of the film is larger than life, it suits the epic era yet is contemporary. The music will definitely be loved and will not disappoint.”
