AP Drones Corp signs MoU to train in drone building

AP Drones Corporation, a government of Andhra Pradesh initiative, University of Texas, Dallas and Value Thought IT Solutions Private limited signed an MoU to create technical and trained manpower for drone operations and its allied areas.

The skilled manpower is targeted at leveraging machine learning, deep learning and drone captured imagery.

The MOU signed on the sidelines of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to New York is to create an eco system R&D and manufacturing centre for drones and thereby help start ups.

Chandrababu Naidu met several industrial giants in New York and discussed with them the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister met Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and Chairman, Bharti Enterprises and discussed opportunities for collaboration. SB Energy is a joint venture proposed with Softbank group and Foxcon group for renewable energy. The venture has already won a 250 mw solar power project with NTPC in AP.

The Chief Minister also met Sam Kalyanam, executive global business head, IBM Watson Financial Services, and discussed various opportunities for collaboration. Watson plans outsourcing AI block chain and fraud regulatory compliance linked investments in India.
