AAP MP Bhagwant Singh Mann’s Parliament video has prompted the government to mull over upgrading the electronic security system in the complex.

This comes after officials claimed that Mann’s action has put the mechanism in jeopardy. Following the controversy, the video, which was seen more than one lakh times, was removed from Mann’s Facebook account. He had on Thursday claimed that he has not done anything wrong and he would repeat his act.

Official sources said Mann’s video, which was posted on Facebook, had given away positions of security personnel deployed in the Parliament House complex as well as the Quick Reaction Teams. According to them, Mann breached the security right from the entrance as it is a no-camera zone.

They said the video also showed how much time the car with an MP-tag takes to pass and how many layers of security are there from the entrance till he enters the building.
The Under Vehicle Scanning System (UVSS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags are also compromised, according to security officers.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is now planning to suggest UVSS and RFID tags. The UVSS provides the full picture of a vehicle's entire width and length and the RFID identifies and track tags attached to objects and individuals.
