After rendering some 'Keerthanas' at the Chembai Music festival organised on the occasion of Ekadasi last evening, Radhakrishnan also found time to enjoy performances by other artistes.

Radhakarishnan, who took over as the head of the Indian Space Research Organisation recently, is also a Kathakali dancer who still takes time off his busy schedule to give stage performances occasionally.

Chembai music festival is held annually during the Ekadasi festival in memory of the Carnatic maestro Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar. The ten-day event attracts leading musicians from the south.

Guruvayur Ekadasi at Sri Krishna Temple falls in the waxing phase of moon in the Malayalam month Vrishchikam (November–December) and the day is considered most auspicious.
