Responding to BJP veteran L K Advani’s maiden reaction on his blog after being denied a party ticket to contest the Lok Sabha polls, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said she agreed with his view that all opposition parties against BJP are not anti-national.

“As the senior-most politician, former deputy prime minister and founding father of BJP, the views Advaniji has expressed about extending democratic courtesies, is significant. Of course, all opposition parties who raise their voice are not anti-national. We welcome his statement and convey our humble regards,” tweeted Banerjee.

Her comments come after Advani stated in his blog that the BJP has never regarded those who disagree with it politically as anti-national.

Earlier, Banerjee had slammed the BJP for not giving Advani a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections.
