Last Updated 22 May 2015, 12:46 IST

Claiming that people were "disturbed over the change in BJP's attitude after getting a clear mandate", senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot today said that the public would teach a lesson to the saffron party in Bihar Assembly elections due later this year.

"People are disturbed over the change in BJP's attitude after getting a clear mandate...it will lick dust in the coming Bihar assembly polls,"  Pilot told newspersons here.

Rajasthan PCC president also alleged that BJP has failed to fulfill the promises made during Lok Sabha elections campaign.

"BJP is full of arrogance over the majority that it got.. it has not fulfilled even a single promise that it made in the lok sabha elections.. people have now come to know its reality," Pilot said.

"Apprehending a bad show in the Bihar elections, it has now started indulging in politics of caste and religion," he alleged.

"Every one knows what happened in the Delhi elections.. people are now realising that they have committed a mistake by giving majority to BJP," Pilot said .

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's certain statements on foreign soil, Pilot said that it were unbecoming of him as he is not the PM of BJP or NDA but of the country.
Commenting on the performance of Modi government's one year in power, Pilot said that agriculture sector has been neglected by the centre.

"Minimum support price of wheat, cotton and other such crop has not been increased... states have been asked not to give bonus, there is shortage of urea and fertiliser..price of petrol , diesel has been increased eight times...farmers have neither got compensation nor benefit of loan waiver," he said.
