Pulwama attack: How to donate to victims' families

Last Updated 18 February 2019, 09:56 IST

The Government of India has set up a website if you wish to donate to the families of the victims of the Pulwama terror attack, which claimed the lives of 49 CRPF soldiers in what is the deadliest attack on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. It's the second worst attack on the CRPF after 75 personnel were killed in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada in 2010.

You can go to — https://bharatkeveer.gov.in/ — a website created by the Ministry of Home Affairs to channel donations to India's martyrs.

The website has a search function that can be used to select a particular soldier's family to receive the donation. These donations have been made exempt from tax. The maximum contribution to a martyr is set at Rs 15 Lakh. One can also make a contribution directly to the Bharat Ke Veer Corpus Fund account.

The list of soldiers who lost their lives has been shared online but has not yet been updated on the government's HMA website.

You can find the list here:
